Website design and development
A professional website that clearly explains your business.
Service pages, design, copy, mobile layouts and enquiries: Gloria builds a website around your business and the information customers need. Your proposal specifies what will be delivered and what you will be able to update yourself.
Define what the site needs to do
We clarify the services, audiences, market and enquiries the website should support. Then we plan the pages, their roles and the route to contact.
A service website, online shop and connected customer area involve different work. Features with their own data, business rules or maintenance needs are examined separately.
Make the offer easy to follow
The copy explains the service, who it is for and how an engagement works. Images and examples come from material you can genuinely use.
Design gives those details a clear order. Mobile layouts, forms, confirmation messages and contact information are considered as part of the same experience.
Plan for the person who will manage it
If services or team information change regularly, updating them should not mean rebuilding the page. We identify what you want to edit and prepare consistent templates around it.
Handover focuses on those real tasks, with the limitations of any specialist features explained.
Set out the deliverables and costs
- The agreed site structure and page templates.
- Writing or content integration, with clear responsibilities.
- Forms and features explicitly included in the project.
- Basic SEO setup and checks before launch.
- Review rounds, launch support and handover.
The proposal separates domain names, hosting, licences and external services from the build. It also explains renewals, account ownership and support after delivery.
Review the site before customers use it
We check the important pages, navigation, links, forms, message delivery and agreed screen sizes. Content approval and the resolution of blocking issues come before launch.
Any ongoing maintenance is defined separately so you know who will look after the site next.
Questions and answers
Do I need to supply all the copy?
We agree the split. You supply and approve the business facts; writing can be included in the project.
Why use WordPress for a business website?
WordPress supports reusable page templates and an administration area for managing text, images and news. We use it when that approach suits the project and the way you want to maintain the website.
The result also depends on design, content, plugin choices and maintenance. Your proposal defines features, handover, licences and recurring costs; naming the software does not define the project.
What if another platform would suit my project better?
We start with what the site must do: present services, sell, manage bookings or connect to a business system. We also consider recurring costs, editing options and how you could move away from the platform.
Another solution may be a better fit. Its implementation then depends on the skills and integrations required, which must be defined before a quote. We do not suggest changing platforms simply to use WordPress.
