From visibility to customers

Web marketing: coordinate SEO, advertising, content and sales tracking

Being seen is not enough: visitors must understand the offer, make contact or buy, then receive appropriate support. Gloria connects acquisition, content, website experience and enquiry follow-up in a prioritised web marketing plan. From the outset, we define KPIs, their sources and how return on investment will be assessed, with explicit assumptions and observable results.

Our working method

Our first step: analyse your competitors and keywords for your services

The strategy begins with the services you actually sell, your customers, your capacity to respond and your business economics. We study direct competitors, businesses visible in search results and the messages used to understand the choices presented to customers.

Compare competitors’ offers and your customers’ searches

The benchmark examines offers, publicly available prices, evidence, content and ease of contact. We look for what visitors are missing and what specific information your business can provide. Competitors’ copy and visuals are not copied.

Keyword research then starts from your services: the need expressed, urgency, relevant location and search intent. We distinguish a service request from a simple information search, then group topics to avoid several pages competing for the same need. Website data and research tools inform priorities; no volume or ranking is assumed.

Choose the pages, evidence to present and actions to measure

You approve the proposed structure, services to present, available evidence and expected action on each page. Qualified enquiries, appointments or sales then provide reference points. The quote specifies the study’s scope, markets and deliverables: an in-depth analysis of several countries is not implicitly included in a standard website build.

Tracking objectives: qualified enquiries, sales and margin by activity

  • Choose actions according to your commercial objective
  • Track enquiry quality through to sales
  • Reinvest based on results and margin

Your project in practice

Choose a commercial objective before adding more channels

A tradesperson looking for projects in their area, a professional firm selling a long engagement and an online shop do not have the same needs. We define the offer to develop, target customers, territory, capacity to respond and available margin. This foundation helps select sustainable actions and avoid enquiries the business cannot serve.

The assessment brings together your website, available search data, campaigns, content and sales process. We examine where the journey stalls: lack of visibility, unclear messaging, a difficult form, a poorly matched proposal or slow response. Additional advertising spend does not automatically resolve these difficulties.

The plan sets out priorities, dependencies and the person responsible for each. An SEO audit, technical review or user experience audit can form the first phase when uncertainty needs resolving before further investment.

Connect SEO, advertising, sales pages and sales follow-up

Web marketing forms a journey. Searches, advertisements or content bring someone in; a page helps them understand; a concrete action begins the relationship; follow-up may then turn that relationship into a sale. We can work on a specific channel or coordinate several services, with a defined scope for each.

Social media, email or editorial partnerships can complement this journey when they suit your audience and resources. We do not assume that a presence on every channel is profitable.

Create the page that matches the advertisement and the expected enquiry

A landing page dedicated to your offer can clarify the services, terms and information to supply before a quote. For product sales, the online shop must make variant selection, delivery charges and payment understandable. We connect these journeys to the commercial results being tracked.

Example: target bathroom renovations rather than small repairs

Imagine a fictional business specialising in bathroom renovations. It receives small-repair enquiries when it wants complete projects within a defined area. The first challenge is to make its scope understandable: services, project types, process, constraints and representative examples.

A dedicated page explains what a project includes, shows authorised visuals and states what information is useful before a conversation. The form asks for the location and nature of the need without turning initial contact into an endless application. A limited campaign can test targeted intentions while content and local SEO improve. Out-of-scope enquiries are distinguished in tracking.

The dashboard then tracks contacts received, those matching the offer, useful appointments, quotes and signed projects. Ten additional contacts are not a success if they lead nowhere. Conversely, fewer form submissions can still be positive if accepted projects and margin increase. The example describes a decision-making method, not a promised result or a client project.

Define KPIs and data collection before launch

A measurement plan specifies the event tracked for each objective, its definition, tool, owner and review frequency. A page view, button click, accepted form submission and signed customer are four different pieces of information. We choose events that genuinely describe the journey, then check that they trigger correctly and are not duplicated.

Sources may combine Search Console for search, an audience measurement tool, advertising platforms and your CRM. Configuration is adapted to applicable rules and visitor choices. Unnecessary personal data is not added to URLs or events. Test enquiries, spam and cancelled orders are distinguished where tools and processes allow.

A dashboard can contain five clear KPIs: relevant enquiries, conversion rate, cost per relevant enquiry, customer acquisition cost and attributable margin. Volume is displayed beside each rate. Moving from one sale to two is not enough to establish a robust trend in a small sample.

Calculate ROI using margin and the full cost

Return on investment compares an attributable gain with an investment over the same period. For a commercial assessment, we use the contribution margin from the relevant sales after their direct costs, then subtract the marketing investment. ROI is this balance divided by the investment. Revenue alone does not show whether the activity is profitable.

Hypothetical example: an activity costs €1,000 in total, including fees, media and tools. Ten attributable sales each generate €150 in contribution margin, or €1,500. The balance is €500 and ROI is 50%, before other expenses not included in the calculation. Around seven sales of this type are needed to cover the investment; this threshold depends entirely on the assumptions used.

ROAS, which compares advertising revenue with media expenditure, answers a different question. It does not necessarily include fees, returns or product margin. We state attribution limitations, sales lead times and included costs to avoid presenting a flattering ratio as demonstrated net profit.

Your project in practice

Read results without confusing correlation with the effect of an action

Results are compared with a reference period, taking account of seasonality, budget, changes to the offer and sales capacity. A promotion, stock shortage or closure may explain a change. Tracking records these events to interpret the figures rather than attributing every increase to the latest website change.

When volume permits, we define a test with a hypothesis, a primary measure and stopping criteria. With few visits or a long sales cycle, we favour ongoing observation and documented sales feedback over artificial statistical conclusions. Tests must not reduce enquiry quality or user experience to improve a secondary indicator.

Each review leads to a decision: remove an obstacle, continue observing, adjust targeting, improve a page or reallocate some budget. The report distinguishes facts, interpretations and proposed actions. It should help you decide, not simply accumulate traffic charts.

A tool for making decisions

Example acquisition plan: sell IT maintenance contracts

A fictional business wants to develop maintenance contracts with small businesses. It mainly receives one-off support requests. The work plan must therefore specify how prospects will recognise the appropriate offer and how the sales team will qualify their enquiries.

Here is an extract from a roadmap to adapt after benchmarking competing providers and studying actual searches. Each row connects a difficulty, a deliverable and a decision. The number of pages, campaigns and review meetings is set in the quote.

On a small screen, scroll the table horizontally.

This sheet avoids launching several channels while a dependency still blocks progress. If the offer is not approved or nobody handles enquiries, the advertising phase waits. Gloria or your teams can create materials and handle sales follow-up according to the agreed responsibilities.

Your project in practice

Organise the assessment, pages, campaigns and performance reviews

The first step sets the objective and checks available data. The next prioritises actions according to their expected usefulness, effort, dependencies and your capacity to use them. Delivery may include pages, campaigns, content, conversion improvements and connections to sales tracking. Each phase has deliverables and acceptance criteria.

Before launch, we check links, forms, measurement events and the mobile journey. For a campaign, targeting, budget, advertisements and destination are approved. For a website change, existing SEO and redirects are taken into account. A redesign or application is undertaken only if it addresses an identified need.

After launch, the review schedule is adapted to volume and the sales cycle. You provide feedback on contact quality and actual sales; Gloria relates that information to the work carried out. This cooperation is necessary to go beyond simply counting visits.

A tool for making decisions

From enquiries to sales: identify the stage to improve before increasing the budget

Tracking can start with a simple spreadsheet without requiring new software. For each enquiry, retain an internal identifier, date, relevant offer, source where known, status and reason for rejection. Personal information remains in the designated customer management tool; the marketing report can use totals.

  • Many out-of-scope contacts: examine searches, advertisements and how the page defines the offer.
  • Relevant contacts who are never reached: check notification delivery, assignment of enquiries and response time.
  • Conversations but few proposals: clarify eligibility criteria, missing information and capacity to deliver the service.
  • Proposals but few signed agreements: record objections about price, scope, timing or the choice of a competitor.

For a contract sold after several conversations, enquiries received during the same period are tracked through to their outcome. Comparing a month’s expenditure only with agreements signed that month may mix older and newer opportunities. Open opportunities remain visible; their potential value is not treated as secured revenue. A CRM connection can make this tracking easier when useful and included in the engagement.

Your project in practice

Distinguish fees, advertising spend, software and ongoing support

The quote separates scoping, setup and any ongoing support. It specifies content, channels, tools, reporting and responsibilities. Advertising spend is identified separately from fees, as are licences and additional production. A subscription must not obscure what will actually be delivered during the period.

You can start with one channel or improve a priority journey, then expand based on observations. The budget is built around the objective, available margin and prudent assumptions, without promises of rankings or sales volumes. The website creation starting prices of €290, €590 and €990 excluding VAT apply to standard scopes and do not constitute an all-inclusive web marketing package.

To prepare the conversation, gather your priority offers, territory, tools, current expenditure and available sales data. Even incomplete information helps identify the first measurements to put in place. Describe your commercial objective so we can define a first step and the KPIs used to assess it.

Questions about redesigns, results, sales tracking and separate engagements

Do we need to rebuild the website before working on marketing?

Not necessarily. A website can be improved with a few pages, a clearer journey or a technical correction. A redesign becomes relevant when structural limitations prevent useful work. The assessment should support that decision.

What results can be guaranteed?

We can define deliverables, checks and the measurement method. Sales also depend on the market, your offer, competition and sales follow-up. Rankings, customer volumes and ROI are therefore not guaranteed.

How can an enquiry be linked to revenue?

Sales tracking retains the known source and the opportunity’s status through to the sale. Data is linked to channels where possible. Sales without an identifiable source and attribution limitations remain visible rather than being allocated arbitrarily.

Can we commission only SEO or campaigns?

Yes. The scope can cover a specific service. We still clarify dependencies that determine its usefulness, such as a landing page, a working form or feedback on received contacts.

Professional rules & implementation

Regulated professions: check permitted channels, messages and testimonials

If your activity is regulated, we identify the rules and competent authority before choosing channels, messages and data to process. A service available to an ordinary business may be excluded for your profession: we do not offer paid search to French notaries.

Content, testimonials, forms and AI uses are scoped according to professional secrecy and applicable rules. Choices and approvals are documented with you before publication. See the official references and practical implications by country.

The first conversation

Specify the offer to develop, target customers and marketing activities already undertaken

Describe your business, current tools and expected outcome. We can then propose a scope, identify the necessary access and price the options before starting.
