Our starting point
Research competing salons and searches for your cuts, colours and specialities
We begin with salons your clients can reasonably compare, looking at their service menus, portfolios, pricing explanations and booking journeys. A strong example from another city can help show how to explain a consultation or transformation, without copying its claims. Your actual stylists, services and appointment availability provide the basis for the position your website takes.
We then research relevant search intentions. “Balayage [city]” and “curly hair salon [city]” are examples to test only when those services match your work. Someone looking for inspiration needs different information from someone ready to choose a salon. Any French-language version is planned around the audience and the full booking journey, with Quebec requirements assessed when relevant.
This work determines the useful service pages, original photos and links to the correct booking options. We track confirmed bookings and service mix when your systems allow it, keeping booking-link clicks separate. The research scope is agreed in the proposal; we do not create city pages that imply branches you do not operate.

In practice
Guide a first visit and a colour consultation towards the right booking
Help new clients compare your style, services and visiting information
Visitors discover your style and service list before choosing the next step. Practical details help them prepare their visit.
Explain when a colour service needs a consultation before booking
Explain your approach and when a consultation is needed, so the client can contact the salon before selecting a time slot.
Scope
Service menus, stylist information, salon locations and content updates
A readable service menu
Clients can compare services and understand price conditions without opening an image of a printed menu. The layout remains clear on a phone, including longer service descriptions.
Stylist and location information
Profiles can explain the services each stylist offers and point to the appropriate calendar. Only real team members and locations are published; the website reflects your current organisation.
Edit agreed content such as opening hours, staff and services
An editable website lets you maintain agreed items such as hours, staff and services. Booking subscriptions, payment fees and advanced inventory connections are separate from the website price.

Make the service menu useful before booking
A haircut, colour correction and extension consultation require different information. We organise your menu by the choices your clients make, explaining what is included and when a consultation is needed. You supply Canadian-dollar prices, duration estimates and applicable tax information. A proposed example, rather than a client case study: a colour service can explain the consultation step before sending the visitor to your booking tool. This avoids presenting every request as the same appointment.

Keep booking connected to the right location
A single salon needs a clear route to its own calendar. A business with several locations may need a location choice before the stylist or service choice. We check the destination, local time zone and mobile journey without creating a competing calendar. Online deposits, cancellation rules, reminders and waitlists depend on the tool you use. A booking link is straightforward; custom synchronisation with a point-of-sale system requires a separate scope.

Show your team, salon photos, contact details and access information
Your team's services, actual salon photographs, contact details and visiting information give the website substance. Parking, transit access and accessibility information can be included when you confirm them. Photographs of your work require permission; stock imagery is presented as illustration. For a redesign, we review existing service pages and preserve useful addresses or plan redirects. A new look should not strand clients on an old booking page.

Separate appointment enquiries from marketing
Someone asking about a haircut should understand why their contact details are needed. We define the enquiry fields and link to the privacy information matching your actual tools. Canada's Privacy Commissioner explains that the applicable private-sector privacy law can depend on the province and circumstances. If you want an email marketing signup, we scope it separately from booking; CRTC guidance describes consent, sender identification and unsubscribe requirements for commercial electronic messages.

Scope French content and product sales according to the clients you serve
English can be the starting point for the audience served by this page. A French version is considered where it serves your clients, with Quebec requirements reviewed when relevant. Retail products also need a distinct decision: link to your existing store or build a standard shop with the catalogue and fulfilment rules you provide. Pickup locations, shipping areas and tax settings are confirmed for your business rather than filled with a single assumed Canadian setup.
Common questions
Questions about website prices, booking software, domains and hosting
What does a salon website cost?
The standard starting prices are €290 excluding tax for a simple brochure website, €590 for an editable website or standard redesign, and €990 for standard e-commerce. We quote for functionality, data and integrations rather than charging automatically for every page. Quotes and invoices are issued in euros.
Do we have to replace our booking software?
No. A link to a suitable existing tool may be all you need. Embedded booking or a deeper connection depends on the provider's options and must be checked before we quote. Subscription costs remain separate, and a submitted enquiry is not presented as a confirmed booking.
Who owns and renews the domain?
You purchase and renew the domain in your own account. Initial connection assistance is included. Hosting can stay with a compatible provider you pay directly, or be managed by Gloria under a separate option with clear fees, backup arrangements and exit terms.

A customer journey to plan
Example: connect each salon location and service to the correct booking calendar
Imagine a Canadian salon business with two locations. A new customer discovers a colour service through a photograph, opens the booking tool and lands on the other location. The website may look consistent, but the journey has lost an important detail. The customer now has to find the service again and check which team provides it.
We would plan the relationship between the location, service and booking destination before building more pages. Each location can show its actual team, hours, address and available services. A service page should explain where it can be booked and whether a consultation is needed first. If the booking software cannot preserve those choices, the website should explain the next selection clearly.
This is an illustrative scenario, not a client case study. The same principle applies to a single salon: present what customers need to decide, then connect that decision to the appointment your team can actually provide.
A useful planning sheet
Match service names, prices, locations and staff with your booking system
Swipe across the table to see every column.
| Website information | Booking decision | What needs checking |
|---|---|---|
| Service description | Choose the matching appointment | The same service name is recognisable |
| Location and team | Select an available provider | The service is offered there |
| Price and conditions | Understand the commitment | Options and consultation requirements are clear |
| Visit information | Prepare to attend | Address and confirmation agree |
A customer should not need professional terminology to find the right starting point. A short explanation can distinguish routine maintenance from a new colour project without turning the page into a technical questionnaire.
If French is part of your offer, the translated menu, booking instructions and relevant messages need review as a connected journey. We define those versions with the people who will maintain them and respond to customers.
Show what makes your salon worth choosing
Build a lookbook that helps people recognise the service
Choose authorised photographs that represent the work you want to promote. Add a short explanation of the service and the stylist’s role where appropriate. A visitor should be able to connect an image with a relevant appointment or consultation, rather than browse an unrelated collection of attractive hair photographs.
For multiple locations, keep team and access details specific. If stylists have different specialties or booking arrangements, explain the differences using information approved by the business. Do not imply that every service is available with every team member. A clear location page can answer those questions without duplicating the entire website.
We also identify material worth keeping during a redesign: service descriptions, established booking links and useful photographs. If you want an editable website, the content structure can make adding a new stylist or lookbook item straightforward. The handover should cover those actual updates, not just show you an empty editing screen.
Scope and acceptance checks
Define product sales, gift-card redemption and deposits before adding payment features
Product sales, gift cards and deposits need their own operating decisions. A product store requires usable catalogue data and a plan for stock, pickup or delivery. A gift card needs a defined issue and redemption process. A deposit depends on your booking provider and the policies you approve. These are separate from displaying a service menu.
We compare a link to your existing provider with an embedded tool or a deeper connection. The quote identifies the chosen approach and any third-party fees. Existing systems are assessed before replacement, so the website can support the way your team already works.
Before launch, testing follows a returning customer, a first-time colour consultation and a location change where relevant. We check the booking destination, mobile journey and information received afterwards. An enquiry is never labelled as a confirmed appointment. For an editable site, your team also tries one practical update so future changes can stay consistent.
