Our method, before design

Study competing salons and hairdressing searches in useful languages

The benchmark observes establishments your customers can actually compare: styles shown, specialities, access, opening hours and the route to booking. We also look at how the best examples explain colouring or a first appointment. Your difference should be visible in your services and photos, rather than a generic claim to be an “unmissable” salon.

Research into search phrases follows this work. “Hairdresser [town]” and the Dutch equivalent “kapper [gemeente]” can be studied when your audiences and service justify both languages. For a speciality, we check the vocabulary customers use and its consistency with the service actually available to book.

The result organises useful pages, the gallery and links to the right calendar, with the same practical information in each language. Indicators focus on confirmed bookings and requested services, rather than visits alone. Research depth is specified in the quote; a translation does not become an additional local page without distinct content.

In practice

Cut or colour: two ways to guide clients towards booking

Choose a haircut and find the booking link

Visitors discover your style and services, then go to the relevant appointment. Photos and the service menu help them express what they want.

Prepare for colouring or balayage before the appointment

The page explains your approach, options and useful steps before booking. You can arrange initial contact when a consultation is necessary.

Scope

Service menu, booking and salon information

Menu linked to your services

Categories your customers recognise, approved VAT-inclusive amounts and visible conditions. The menu must remain consistent with the salon's menu and booking service.

Contact details adapted to Belgium

An appropriately formatted phone number, your municipality and business registration number, without SIRET fields copied from a French template. The information is supplied and then approved by your salon.

Clearly scoped language versions

If several languages are planned, we define the content and messages covered, together with the person reviewing each version. Subscriptions and external tools remain separate.

Your project · 01

Start with the customers served at the salon

In Brussels as in Wallonia, we choose languages based on the people you want to welcome and your ability to respond. Dutch or English are not added as decorative buttons. If an additional version is chosen, the menu, service selection, instructions and confirmations must remain understandable. Translation, review and multilingual operation are scoped in the quote; a French-language website is not presented as bilingual.

Your project · 02

Present VAT-inclusive prices and what they include

Belgium's FPS Economy provides a guide to price clarity in hairdressing. On the website, we organise your menu in euros including VAT, with useful conditions: hair length, technique, treatment or supplement, according to your actual billing practices. Example presentation to prepare: colouring followed by a blow-dry specifies the included stages and charged options. This is an editorial example to adapt, rather than a package imposed on the salon.

Your project · 03

Make your establishment unambiguously identifiable

The trading name, address, business registration number and contact methods are based on your Belgian information, as the FPS Economy reminds businesses for their websites. For several salons, each has its own opening hours and appointment link; for a single salon, we avoid scattering the information. The directions and photos you supply help visitors prepare. An illustrative image will not be presented as your establishment's interior.

Your project · 04

Keep one reference calendar

We first examine your current system. A reliable link to the right service is sometimes more useful than a second form requesting an already booked slot. The redesign preserves relevant routes and fixes old links to an abandoned account or address. On phones, the journey stays short: understand the service, read its conditions and book. An embedded module, deposit or till synchronisation is offered only after capabilities and cost have been checked.

Your project · 05

Choose a brochure website, administration or shop according to your uses

Starting prices are €290 excluding VAT for a brochure website, €590 excluding VAT for an editable website or standard redesign, and €990 excluding VAT for a standard shop. They concern the professional web service; the quote specifies applicable taxes. Additional languages, advanced connections and complex migrations are available only by quote. Feature complexity guides pricing; several useful pages do not automatically trigger a per-page increase.

Practical questions

Bilingual website, product sales and retaining the domain: your questions

Do I have to order a bilingual website?

No, we do not systematically propose one. We start with your audience and uses, then define the scope. Any obligations specific to your situation must be confirmed with your adviser; Gloria does not promise general legal compliance based on a language choice.

Can we sell products with online payment?

Yes, by preparing the catalogue, stock, delivery and commercial terms. Payment methods are selected according to the platform and your merchant account. An additional method or till connection is priced after checks; the payment provider's fees remain separate.

Can I keep my current domain?

Yes, provided you control it and have the necessary access. You retain purchasing and renewal in your account. Hosting is arranged separately, with your compatible provider or under a Gloria option. The initial connection and required changes are prepared before switchover.

Official guidance for your information

A common situation

Two languages, the same service to book

Take a fictional salon in Brussels whose team receives enquiries in French and Dutch. A client discovers a colouring service in one language, then opens a calendar where the labels differ. She may hesitate between a touch-up and a transformation, or choose the wrong add-on. Translating the homepage alone is therefore not enough to prepare the appointment.

We would establish a mapping between the services on the website and those in the calendar. Each page explains what is included, what needs confirmation with the team and which button to follow. When the external service is available in only one language, the website makes this clear and gives clear guidance on the choice to make.

The number of versions depends on your customers and your capacity to welcome them. The aim is a coherent journey, rather than displaying languages the salon could not subsequently review or use to reply.

Prepare your menu

Align names, durations and prices between the website and calendar

Scroll the table horizontally to read all columns.

To prepareTo check together
Service name in each selected languageThe professional meaning remains identical
Price and included elementsThe published menu matches your approved offer
Duration and booking conditionsThe choice offered matches how the calendar works
Representative photoThe result shown genuinely relates to this service

This preparation avoids copying an old menu into several places. A responsible person approves the reference version; translations and changes follow that basis. If you change a package, the relevant pages and calendar entries must be easy to identify.

A long technical list can remain in the booking tool. On the website, understandable categories first help visitors choose: cut, colour maintenance, colour change or event styling, according to your actual services.

Prepare the first visit

Show the welcome, style and access to your establishment

Someone unfamiliar with the salon wants to recognise its atmosphere and know how to get there. Prepare authorised photos of the space, team and a few work examples. Captions can specify the speciality shown without turning every image into an advertising message.

For directions, retain information you can confirm: entrance, floor where relevant, nearby stop or parking. Accurate guidance helps more than a long description of the municipality. If you have several establishments, each has its own practical information and appointment link; visitors must not discover a different address when confirming.

The website can also explain arrangements that change how a visit is prepared: a prior consultation for certain projects, an accompanying person or an event service, only when consistent with your operations. These details appear near the relevant service to avoid making all navigation cumbersome.

From quote to acceptance testing

Keep booking simple, even with several options

We first compare a link to your existing calendar with the integration options it offers. Adding a second time-slot form without synchronisation can create competing requests; this option is not treated as a genuine booking. Deposits, reminders and cancellations depend on your service and the rules you approve.

Tests follow a regular haircut, a service requiring advice and, if planned, a language change. We check the selected salon, intended service, price information and final message. You also review an example menu update if administration is part of the project.

For a redesign, links shared on your social profiles and old pages are included in the initial assessment. Continuity of these routes matters as much as the new visuals. The quote specifies the chosen connections and distinguishes their subscriptions from the build price.
