Our method, before design

Study competing salons and searches related to your specialities

Before keywords, we look at comparable salons in your catchment area: services, positioning, displayed prices, portfolios and booking. The comparison helps us understand what your website should explain better, particularly for a consultation, transformation or regular maintenance. Your team, your work and the salon's actual welcome provide evidence of this positioning.

We can then examine “balayage [locality]” and “curly hair salon [locality]” if these services are on your menu. Wording is studied in the languages useful to your salon; targeting Switzerland alone does not justify four language versions. Informational searches and appointment intent are distinguished.

The final selection guides service pages, photo captions and booking links. Tracking focuses on confirmed appointments and their distribution across services, according to available data. The competitive, linguistic and editorial scope is set in the quote, with locations always reflecting reality.

In practice

Cut or colour: two ways to guide clients towards booking

Choose a haircut and find the booking link

Visitors discover your style and services, then go to the relevant appointment. Photos and the service menu help them express what they want.

Prepare for colouring or balayage before the appointment

The page explains your approach, options and useful steps before booking. You can arrange initial contact when a consultation is necessary.

Scope

Service menu, booking and salon information

Readable service menu

Categories, salon prices in CHF, conditions and any consultation required. An editable version lets you change the information defined in the quote as your services evolve.

Journey to your calendar

Buttons to the correct account and salon, checked on mobile. The external tool's subscription, fees and capabilities remain separate from the website.

Team introduction and directions

Usable photos, confirmed specialities, opening hours and directions. Information helps people choose without inventing awards, reviews or services you do not offer.

Your project · 01

A menu in CHF explaining what the customer books

SECO has a brochure on price indication in salons. On your website, we organise the menu you approve: included service, indicative duration and criteria affecting the service. Example presentation: distinguish a cut with styling from colouring requiring a prior consultation. Your salon's amounts are displayed in CHF, with applicable taxes and supplements specified. This menu must remain consistent with the one displayed in the salon and in your booking tool.

Your project · 02

Book without choosing a technique at random

For a regular haircut, the button can lead straight to your existing calendar. For a transformation, a short explanation states whether advice or a consultation should be requested first. We avoid offering every service through the same indistinct button. Choosing a team member, a deposit or cancellation rules depend on your tool and practices; they are examined before pricing. Specific synchronisation or a custom-built calendar requires a specific quote.

Your project · 03

Help your customers find the salon

We bring together the Swiss address, postal code, international-format phone number, opening hours and directions. In Lausanne, Geneva or another French-speaking locality, you provide genuinely useful information: a nearby stop, parking or accessible entrance, where confirmed. A second language can serve a specific audience, for example in a bilingual area; it must also cover booking and important messages. Translations and their review are scoped in the quote, based on the languages in which your team can respond.

Your project · 04

Show the salon's style and protect contact details

A selection of authorised photos explains your work: result, technique and recommended maintenance, without inventing completed work. The initial form stays short and does not require a detailed personal file. We provide accessible information on how contact details are used and which booking services are employed, based on your practices. The FDPIC highlights this duty to inform. You approve published information; technical creation does not constitute legal certification of the salon.

Your project · 05

Redesign without losing routes to your appointments

We examine your old website, useful pages and calendar links before preparing the new version. Important addresses are retained or redirected according to the selected scope. You review the website on a phone and check the intended location, services and booking account. The quote depends on features, recoverable content and required connections. Well-organised pages for several services do not automatically trigger a per-page surcharge.

Practical questions

Questions about booking, online sales, domains and hosting

Does the website replace my salon software?

Not necessarily. A brochure website can present your services and link to your current software. A more advanced connection requires checking its capabilities, subscription and desired scope before offering a quote.

Can I sell products or gift vouchers?

Yes, with a defined commercial journey. A standard shop suits simple sales on an existing platform. Voucher generation, validation at the till, synchronised stock or an additional payment option are studied separately; they are not implicitly included.

Who keeps the domain and pays for hosting?

You buy and renew your domain in your own account. Help with the initial connection is included in the project. Hosting can remain in a compatible account you own or be managed by Gloria as an option, with its fees and scope specified separately.

Official guidance for your information

An example journey

Explain a speciality before opening the calendar

Imagine a salon in French-speaking Switzerland that wants to present its work with curly hair more clearly. A single line in the menu does not tell a new client how the first visit works, what is included or which appointment to choose. A speciality page can answer these questions using your own explanations.

It would show authorised work examples, present the salon's approach and distinguish an initial discussion from a regular service. Preparation instructions would be written and approved by your team. The call to action would lead to the corresponding service, or to the necessary contact when the calendar does not allow that selection.

This scenario is illustrative. The chosen speciality may be different: colouring, short cuts or event styling. The purpose is to give a specific reason to choose your salon, then make the first appointment understandable without asking visitors to know your internal organisation.

Three journeys to distinguish in the quote
Customer actionPossible solutionPoint to clarify
Book at the salonLink to your calendar or a compatible moduleSelected service, team member and location
Buy a productDefined shop journeyStock, collection or delivery and payment
Give a voucherExisting service or dedicated featureIssuing, redemption and tracking at the salon

These needs are not automatically included within one another. A button to an existing voucher service differs from a system that must recognise vouchers at the till. Software capabilities, any fees and necessary checks are specified before you commit.

Your salon menu is prepared with the CHF amounts you approve. CHF equivalents of Gloria's budget concern only website creation, whose contractual invoicing remains in euros.

Content that reflects you

Prepare a gallery and genuinely useful information for a visit

To highlight a speciality, select photos showing different situations rather than several almost identical variations. Add the service name, what you did and the information you want to provide before a first visit. Usage permissions are checked with the people concerned.

Visitors must also recognise your premises: address, postal code, entrance and confirmed access information. A neighbourhood description is less helpful than accurate information about the salon's location. If a second language is useful, prepare service descriptions and associated instructions, rather than only the team introduction.

The redesign can preserve publications that already help people recommend you. We record shared links and content to retain. For an editable package, you test adding a work example with its caption and category so you can refresh the gallery without losing consistency.

Before publication

Test service and hairdresser selection, and gift vouchers included in the quote

Acceptance testing can follow a new customer unfamiliar with the service name, a regular wanting to find their hairdresser and someone wishing to give a voucher, if that feature is planned. These situations test different choices and reveal ambiguities that simply reviewing a mock-up does not expose.

We check in particular labels, conditions visible before booking, the correct location and continuity on phones. You approve durations, prices and rules in the relevant tool. If the service cannot be booked directly, the alternative must be explicit.

Any language change is tested along the service journey. Appointment or sales tool fees remain separate from the build work. Your decision is therefore based on precise uses, with one reference calendar and a clear method for maintaining information after launch.
