Our method, before design

Practice benchmarking and keywords according to the architectural projects you seek

The benchmark compares practices in your markets, local results and relevant examples for presenting projects. We examine service clarity, building types and explanations of the architect's role. Your actual practice, areas served and the value of target engagements guide the analysis, after identifying the applicable professional framework.

“Home renovation architect [city]”, “extension architect” or “commercial premises design” are possibilities to verify according to your portfolio and skills. We examine intent and results before selecting queries. Advertisements and professional claims are approved according to the jurisdiction, without equating a proposal with a completed project.

This research organises service pages and project files, with authorised photos, credits and the role actually performed. KPIs track compatible briefs, appointments and agreed engagements; image views remain a secondary indicator. The quote defines segments, competitors and the planned study level. Standard website creation does not include exhaustive analysis of every architectural market.

In practice

Explore completed projects and propose an architectural engagement

Explore projects and the practice's role

Projects combine visuals, context and the practice's role. Visitors understand the approach behind each completed project or study.

Indicate the project location, brief and progress

The journey presents your work and collects location, brief and progress to begin a useful discussion.

Your starting point

Creation or redesign: content, functions and transfer of old pages

Creation: organise pages, content and contact

We prepare a website connecting your approach, projects and services. The layout showcases authorised visuals while keeping information clear to read. You approve credits, descriptions and the role attributed to your practice.

Redesign: transfer content and redirect old pages

We can reorganise a portfolio, migrate available information and reduce browsing difficulties caused by images. Projects and their addresses are examined before the redesign to retain useful journeys and prepare redirects specified in the quote.

Useful functions

Portfolio, photos and publishing new projects

Portfolio organised by project type

Projects can be organised by nature, context or progress according to what helps visitors. The structure is based on your actual content and does not require invented categories to multiply pages.

Photos sized for desktop and phone

We prepare image formats and display to preserve portfolio readability on different screens. Supplied descriptions and credits are included so visitors understand what they are viewing and can identify the contributions presented.

Publishing new projects

An editable version can let you add completed projects using a consistent template. We define useful fields and how they work so you can expand the portfolio without rebuilding its presentation for every new publication.

Practical questions

Questions about content, tools and website creation

Can we use renderings and unbuilt projects?

Yes, if you have the necessary rights and their nature is clearly indicated. A rendering, study or proposal will not be presented as a delivered project; you approve the associated information before publication.

Does the number of projects determine the price?

It is not enough to determine difficulty. Clean content using a shared structure is easier to migrate than a few incomplete projects with different presentations. We assess data quality, components and categorisation needs.

Can we keep our hosting and domain?

You purchase and renew your domain while remaining the account holder. Your hosting can be retained after checking compatibility. Management by Gloria is also possible, with fees and scope separate from website creation.

Build the journey

A portfolio that explains your design choices

Projects can be organised by use, scale or type of intervention according to your practice. Each page shows the context, brief, constraints and your role, then connects these elements to images. Project date and status distinguish study, construction and delivered work. Photographer and partner credits are planned from content preparation onwards. A series of spectacular images without explanation does not sufficiently inform a project client about how you work. The approach page complements the portfolio by describing stages and engagements you actually accept.

A concrete example

Example: a homeowner requests a house transformation

Fictional example: a private client wants to transform a house and discovers a completed project close to their needs. They understand that project's constraints and your role, then consult your support approach. They send an initial description and project stage without immediately needing to supply a complete brief. Your conversation can then clarify expectations and necessary elements. The website does not promise that a transformation is feasible or that permission will be obtained. Above all, it helps visitors choose a professional whose practice matches the enquiry.

The first enquiry

Form: project type, location and preparation stage

Initial contact can ask for project type, area, preparation stage and a reply method. An intended budget or floor area can remain indicative, with the option of not knowing it. Plans and private documents are not mandatory for a first conversation. A separate journey can be planned for job applications, collaborations or press enquiries so these messages are not mixed with those from project clients. Information needed for an engagement is collected later within the framework you define.

Define the budget

Editable portfolio, galleries and plan uploads: what scope?

An editable portfolio should make projects easy to add without requiring an entirely new layout each time. A heavily animated gallery adds work if it must stay fast, accessible and usable on phones. An upload or document tracking area is another scope, with accounts and permissions. A link to your appointment tool may be enough for an exploratory conversation. The quote therefore distinguishes presentation quality, editorial organisation and collaboration features, rather than only counting photographs.

Prepare and check

Prepare project pages, credits and authorised photos

For each project, prepare contextual text, your exact role, progress, credits and image usage rights. Competition visuals, renderings and unbuilt projects are identified. Large photos can be adapted for the web while preserving sufficient readability of the spaces and details you want to show.

Acceptance testing follows a project from the list to contact and checks filters, captions and credits. Images must remain accessible by keyboard and on small screens. Visitors must understand the project even if an image fails to display. We also check the journey for a job application or collaboration request.

During a redesign, an inventory of projects and shared addresses helps preserve useful links. Old project pages can remain relevant even if their presentation changes. In an editable version, the handover exercise consists of adding a new phase to a project, changing its status and checking associated credits. We avoid the same image carrying different information in different sections. A consistent publishing framework then allows the portfolio to grow with genuinely distinct projects without turning each operation into an interchangeable promotional page.

Professional rules & implementation

Architects' communications: advertising, titles and project credits

In France, Article 10 bis of the Architects’ Code of Ethics, in its version effective from 1 July 2026, permits advertising in compliance with applicable law. This does not remove the obligation to describe titles, the practice’s role and completed work accurately. For the website and campaigns, we have project credits, photographic rights, relevant permissions and the distinction between completed projects, proposals and illustrations checked. Demonstration visuals are never presented as a real portfolio.

These provisions concern France. The country and professional authority are identified before adapting the project to another market. Also see our scoping method for regulated professions.
