Notary website: inform, guide and prepare appointments
Gloria creates or redesigns your office's website to make useful information accessible, guide enquiries and help prepare appointments. We organise content, access and connections to your tools within a defined scope. For a French office, the project takes account of notarial communication rules and the approvals that are the office's responsibility.

Our method, before design
Notarial office benchmarking and keywords: inheritance, property sales and gifts
We start with comparable offices, local results and relevant institutional references. The benchmark examines the clarity of procedures, identification of the office and access to practical information. We first confirm the country, professional rules and services actually offered; the objective is useful information and preparation for discussions.
“Inheritance notary [city]”, “documents for property sale notary” and “gift appointment notary” are avenues to check against your practice. They justify no fictitious office location, territorial exclusivity or legal promise. In France, paid search is excluded from the notarial offer; the domain and content follow the applicable professional framework.
The research guides procedure pages, documents to prepare and contact journeys, using authorised real photos and verifiable evidence. The office reviews testimonials and references before reuse. KPIs track access to information and relevant enquiries without revealing client files. The quote sets the depth of benchmarking and research; a basic website does not include unlimited legal and competitive research.

Identify the office, the procedures and the right contact
Someone visiting a notarial office's website may be preparing a purchase, a transfer of assets or an initial discussion about their family situation. Above all, they want to identify the right contact, understand how initial contact works and find practical information. The website must help them move forward without asking them to describe their case in a public form.
We organise understandable entry points corresponding to the activities the office actually presents. Each page distinguishes general information from the individual assessment of a situation. It explains the appointment's purpose, the information needed to arrange it and how to contact the office. Names, roles, practice locations, opening hours and contact details must be accurate and kept up to date.
For an organisation with several offices, navigation helps identify which one will receive the enquiry. A page must not imply that all notaries practise interchangeably at every displayed location.

Notarial communication in France: the rules applicable to the website
Article 14 of Decree No. 2023-1297 governs notarial communication. It distinguishes advertising, personalised solicitation and online service offerings. The latter require useful, truthful, restrained information that respects confidentiality and contains no comparative elements. Our proposal concerns an information and contact website, with wording approved by the office.
The professional regulations approved on 29 January 2024 prohibit paid search under Article 14.2: we therefore exclude Google Ads from this service for French notarial offices. Article 14.4 notably provides for the Conseil supérieur du notariat's visual identity guidelines and naming scheme, and immediate notification to the chamber for the website operations it covers.
The office supplies the applicable internal professional rules and handles the necessary discussions with its chamber. We prepare the technical and editorial elements for review. Installing a theme alone does not validate the website's professional compliance.

Appointments: a contact form without confidential documents
The initial form can be limited to a name, a way to reply, the relevant office and a general enquiry category. A short free-text field remains optional where the journey allows it. A visible instruction asks visitors not to send identity documents, deeds, bank details or confidential information through this ordinary form.
The confirmation message distinguishes an enquiry received from an appointment confirmed. The person must know whether the office will get back to them or whether they can choose a slot in a suitable tool. The process depends on the office's availability and organisation; no artificial processing deadline is displayed.
We check fields, errors, expected delivery and routing to the right contact. A spam protection system must limit abuse while remaining usable on a phone and with a keyboard.

Case documents: use the channel chosen by the office
A “Prepare for your appointment” section can explain the process without publishing a list presented as sufficient for every case. The office defines the general information it wants to provide and then confirms the documents required for the situation. The website reminds visitors that the office will communicate the personalised list and transmission method.
If a secure area already exists within the office's professional environment, the website can direct users there after the journey has been checked. We do not replace that system with a simple upload area integrated into the CMS. Authentication, recipients, permissions, retention and file retrieval must be considered together.
Notifications avoid reproducing the content of a deed or confidential exchange. They can indicate that an action is required in the appropriate area, without exposing the document in an email subject line.

Limit website editing rights and access to client files
Someone updating opening hours does not need general access to client files. We distinguish contributor, editorial approval and technical administration roles. Accounts are personal where the tool allows it, privileges are limited and access removal is planned for departures or changes of role.
Tests also check what a user must not be able to view. A hard-to-guess link does not protect a file; restrictions must be applied at the appropriate application or storage level. Backups and restoration are included in the operational scope to be defined.
Article 8.1 of the professional regulations extends confidentiality requirements to service providers, who must be informed of them. Access granted to Gloria, authorised tasks and communication methods are therefore agreed with the office before any work on professional data.

Redesign: reuse approved content and redirect old pages
Migration starts with an inventory of pages, public documents, forms, addresses and links to existing tools. The office decides which content remains accurate. Old articles are reassessed before reuse.
Useful addresses are retained where possible. When a page changes, the redirect leads to genuinely equivalent information. Private data must not become public when moving to another CMS. The preparation version is protected during checks.
A CMS change can be considered if the current tool limits updates or operational security. It does not change the office's professional responsibilities. SEO work here aims to provide access to accurate information, without ranking promises.

Show the premises and make browsing easy on a phone
A photograph of the entrance can help someone recognise the office. Portraits and reception views are published with the necessary rights and approvals. We avoid photographs that reveal a document, a case screen or client information. An illustrative image is identified as such.
Images are sized for their display and accompanied by useful alternative text when their content conveys information. Loading must not shift the contact button or hide the address. The menu, links, contrast and forms are checked on mobile and with a keyboard.
Performance is judged through tasks: finding directions, reading information, calling the office or requesting an appointment. A large atmospheric video has no value if it delays these actions.

Measure form errors and misdirected enquiries
Selected indicators may cover form errors, misdirected enquiries, practical information that cannot be found or client area links that no longer work. Tracking helps identify obstacles and maintain the website, without turning personal situations into advertising categories.
We avoid sending message content, detailed case types or a person's identity to analytics tools. Tracking features are limited to the defined need and configured according to applicable rules. The chosen arrangements are described in the information provided to visitors.
A record of checks lets the office see what has been verified, what needs correcting and who is responsible.

Website budget: features, domain name and hosting
A simple informational presence can be considered within Gloria's standard packages, subject to scope and professional constraints. A connection to professional software, an authenticated area or a complex data migration requires a specific quote. Cost relates to the features, access, approvals and testing needed.
The domain is chosen in accordance with applicable naming rules; its registration, payment and renewal remain under the client's control. Gloria can handle the initial connection. Hosting is arranged by the office or managed under a defined option, with maintenance, backups, responsibilities and costs specified.
Delivery includes the agreed access, documentation and handover possibilities. Existing professional products' features are not advertised as automatically included.

Adapt the website to each country's notarial rules
This page is based on an office established in France. The title, duties, communication rules and professional requirements do not automatically transfer to Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland or Canada. Translation alone is not enough to adapt the project.
Before creating a country-specific version, we identify the country and, where necessary, the relevant jurisdiction or province, then the applicable texts and approvals. Content, tools and the contact journey are then defined for that precise situation.

Questions about rules, appointments and the client area
Can you create a website for a notary outside France?
The project is assessed according to the country and competent professional authority. This page describes a French framework; content and tools must be adapted before any country-specific version.
Can the website connect to our appointment tool or client area?
After reviewing access, technical capabilities and the publisher's terms. We favour continuity with tools approved by the office and check the entire journey.
Should document upload be available in the first form?
We separate contact requests from confidential document uploads. The office specifies the required documents and their transmission channel according to the situation.
Who approves the wording and professional presentation?
The office approves the information and carries out the applicable professional checks. Gloria prepares the website and documents the planned technical checks; this work does not constitute professional ethics approval.
