Removal company websites: packages, service areas and detailed quote requests

Your customers have a date, two addresses and plenty of questions. Gloria creates or redesigns your website to explain your packages, show how you care for people's belongings and collect the information that genuinely affects a quote. The journey helps customers prepare their move, while your team can check access, volume and availability before making a commitment.

Our method, before design

Removal company benchmarking and keyword research based on routes, volumes and customers

We start with comparable removal companies, local search results and useful examples of how to explain packages effectively. The benchmark examines services, volume constraints, access and the stages of a quote. Your usual routes, capacity, available dates and commercially worthwhile projects guide the work before we select keywords.

“Apartment removal [town]”, “office removals” and “storage with removals” are possibilities to investigate. Their value depends on the services you actually provide and the destinations you cover. A national search query does not justify claiming a location or route the business does not offer.

We build package pages and an initial brief explaining volume, dates and access. Photographs show your actual resources or clearly identified illustrative images, without inventing a fleet. KPIs connect complete enquiries, any surveys, quotes and confirmed moves. Measuring these helps refine useful content. The quote states the extent of competitor and search analysis; standard website creation does not include an exhaustive mapping of every route.

The benefit for your business

Comparable packages, with route, date and access details collected before the quote

  • Explain clearly who packs, dismantles and transports items under the chosen package.
  • Collect the route, preferred dates and main access constraints.
  • Distinguish a quote request from a confirmed removal booking.

Your website in practice

Specify who packs, dismantles and transports items in each package

Customers comparing removal companies do not always know what names such as “economy”, “comfort” or “premium” cover. Your website should translate these packages into tasks: supplying boxes, packing certain items, dismantling furniture, transport and putting things back in place. We write the pages using your actual terms, visibly distinguishing included services, options to enquire about and tasks that remain the customer's responsibility.

A clear page can also explain why a survey or detailed discussion is still necessary. The number of rooms provides an initial indication, but does not fully describe access, large furniture or specialist operations. It is better to explain this stage than imply that a final price can be calculated in a few clicks without enough information.

We develop your positioning around the moves you want to attract: local routes, long-distance moves, small loads, business relocations or storage if you offer it. Services outside your business are not added simply to fill a navigation menu. This helps visitors quickly understand whether your company is suited to their move.

The quote confirms the scope before commitment. The client registers and renews the domain; initial connection is included. Choose hosting on your own account or hosting managed by Gloria, at an additional cost. E-commerce platform, applications and payment fees are not included.

These starting prices cover standard configurations. The quote specifies the selected functions, data migrations and integrations. There is no automatic surcharge per page: a synchronised schedule, stock management or a private area may require more work than a set of presentation pages.

Your website in practice

Create pages for packages, office relocations and quote requests

The homepage answers the initial questions: which moves do you handle, in which areas and how can someone obtain a proposal? It leads to household removal packages, office relocations and storage solutions where these services exist. A “Preparing for your move” page can then bring together a useful checklist of information to gather, distinguishing preparation for a quote from general practical advice.

Service pages address their particular constraints. An office relocation deserves information about coordination, business continuity and the types of equipment involved. Storage requires explanations of access conditions, the arrangements to discuss and how belongings are retrieved. Reusing a household removal page under a different heading is not enough.

For routes, we favour an accurate description of your departure points, destinations and opportunities to combine journeys. Pages dedicated to particular routes are justified only when you have specific information to offer. Multiplying town combinations without a distinct service would mainly create duplicates. A well-informed service-area page, linked to authorised real examples and your contact details, helps people understand your offer more effectively.

Compare the tasks and options included in each package

We can build a readable table to help people compare your packages without downloading a brochure. The example below illustrates the presentation approach; the answers must be replaced with your company's exact commitments.

On a small screen, scroll the table horizontally.

Questions to answer for each of your packages
TopicWhat the customer needs to knowWhat may need assessment
PackingWho supplies boxes and packs the different categories of belongingsFragile items, unusual sizes and specific requirements
FurnitureWhich dismantling and reassembly tasks are includedComplex furniture, fixtures and condition before transport
AccessInformation required at both departure and arrivalFloors, parking, lifts and additional equipment

A more comprehensive package should be explained in terms of the work it covers. Customers can then choose according to the time they have and what they want to prepare themselves. We avoid ambiguous ticks whose meaning is only explained at the bottom of the page.

Example: moving from a third-floor flat with flexible dates

Fictional scenario used to illustrate the website content. A couple is preparing to move from a flat to a house. Their current building has a small lift and stands on a street with limited parking. They know roughly when they want to move but can still choose between several days. They want to pack their everyday belongings and leave some fragile items to the company.

The packages page explains what the company can handle and invites customers to flag points requiring a check. The form begins with the departure and destination towns, preferred dates and property type. The date question offers “fixed date” or “dates to be agreed”; it does not turn a calendar selection into a booking.

The couple enters the floors and whether a lift is available, without having to know an exact volume immediately. They can mention bulky furniture in a free-text field. The confirmation explains that the team will review the move and specify what further information is needed. Your first conversation can then focus on relevant dimensions, access and the package, rather than starting from scratch.

An example page can show this journey using a preparation diagram and illustrative photographs. It should not present a fictional amount as a real quote. The benefit of the website here is very concrete: customers know what to prepare and your business has an organised starting point for assessing the move.

Form: route, date, property, floor and access

We divide the questions into a few understandable stages: route, dates, property and contact details. Towns or postcodes are often enough to begin with; the full address can be collected later when needed. Access is requested at both ends of the journey, because a form covering only the departure point gives an incomplete picture.

A detailed inventory can be offered as an extra, without forcing visitors to list every item before an initial conversation. If a volume calculator is included, its result must be presented as an estimate with its limitations explained. Coefficients, units, correction options and error messages must be checked with your team.

Photographs of belongings or rooms are not essential for the first enquiry. Where file uploads are planned, we define formats, size limits, private access and retention. The website does not request identity documents or valuable documents for a simple enquiry. Fields are validated on the server and protected against automated submissions; an error message should let customers continue without losing their entire form.

Show your vehicles, teams and how you protect belongings

Photographs of vehicles, equipment and teams make your company tangible, provided they reflect your actual resources. To illustrate a completed move, you can show preparation or protective materials without revealing an identifiable home interior. Names on boxes, numbers, documents and personal items should be avoided or concealed before publication.

A useful case study explains the project type, the challenge and how the work was organised. For example: access requiring coordination, a move completed in stages or a combination with temporary storage. Customer contact details and commercial data are unnecessary to demonstrate your method. Any reviews, authorisations and guarantees displayed must be ones you can substantiate.

The website should also make it easy to answer a less welcome question: what happens if the project changes? You supply the applicable terms for postponements, additional services and communication after the move. We make them accessible without inventing rules or replacing your contractual documents. This transparency helps prospects approach the quote with a fuller understanding of how you work.

Your website in practice

Choose between a quote request, a calculator and booking

A structured form is often the first worthwhile investment. A volume calculator adds value if customers genuinely use it and your team can use its results. Booking with a deposit is a more complex project: it must check available capacity, service areas, duration, confirmation conditions and cancellation options. It cannot be added to a website as a merely decorative calendar.

A connection to your quoting or scheduling software also requires a definition of the data transmitted, possible errors and responsibility for updates. We assess this complexity separately from content volume. An additional package page does not automatically trigger an extra charge; a specific industry integration is scoped before development. See our standard prices and scopes to place your project in context.

During a redesign, we inventory the old service and route pages. Useful URLs are retained where possible; necessary changes receive 301 redirects to relevant equivalents. Links from partners, email signatures, adverts and business listings are checked. A deleted old page should not redirect to a destination unrelated to what it originally described.

Your website in practice

Test the website with moves you actually handle

Together, we prepare representative acceptance scenarios: a small home with no known volume, a flat with access details to clarify and an office relocation if you offer that service. Each scenario must reach the appropriate journey, communicate its particular needs and receive an understandable confirmation. Optional fields remain genuinely optional; a past date or incorrect format receives a clear explanation.

Checks also cover telephone links, package tables, navigation, images and old URLs. We verify the data sent by the form and organise a receipt test with you. A form displaying “sent” without checking the destination is not sufficient evidence that it works for the business.

After publication, you can compare actionable enquiries, requested routes and reasons for out-of-scope requests. High visitor numbers alone do not equal a full schedule. Initial adjustments focus on how clearly the offer is explained and on recurring questions. To begin, send us your packages and current working arrangements; we will define the content and tools your business needs.

Domain, hosting & maintenance

Who manages the website after handover?

You register and renew the domain name

You register, pay for and renew your domain name directly. Gloria connects it to the website initially as part of launch. The registrar account and renewal reminders remain under your control. Subsequent one-off assistance can be quoted separately.

Hosting and maintenance: options and prices to specify

You can retain compatible hosting or choose hosting managed by Gloria at an additional cost. The quote specifies recurring costs, backups, updates, included interventions and exit terms. Subscriptions to booking tools, platforms or paid extensions are identified before commitment.

Practical questions

Questions about functionality and website creation

Is a volume calculator essential?

No. A form that accepts an unknown volume, explains the next step and collects access details can already be useful. A calculator should provide a real service, explain its limitations and be checked against your estimation methods.

Can we sell boxes on the website?

Yes, if that is an activity you want to manage online. Products, stock, payments and collection or delivery arrangements need to be planned. This shop falls within an e-commerce scope, separate from presenting your removal packages.

Can we keep the domain and pages from my old website?

Yes, after reviewing access and existing content. We retain relevant URLs or arrange redirects to the corresponding new pages. A change in design does not, by itself, require a change of domain name.
