Website for a gym

Gym website: classes, memberships and trial session booking

Before walking through your door, a prospective member compares opening hours, classes, prices and atmosphere. Gloria creates or redesigns your gym website to make this information easy to find and offer an initial visit, trial or registration according to your organisation.

Our method, before design

Gym benchmark and keywords by discipline, hours and neighbourhood

Preparation compares genuinely competing gyms, their local search presence and useful examples explaining memberships. We examine disciplines, hours, equipment and trial arrangements. Your capacity, available time slots and membership value guide which services to emphasise.

“Gym with group classes”, “weight-training gym near [town]” and “beginner Pilates classes” are possibilities to examine according to your facilities and instructors. We check intent and search results before deriving pages from them. A discipline absent from the timetable does not become a website promise.

This foundation organises facilities, classes, prices and trials into a clear journey. Photos show the actual premises and people who have authorised their appearance. We track booked trials, attendance and memberships purchased with your team’s feedback. Benchmark and research depth are specified in the quote; a standard package does not include an unlimited commercial audit.

The benefit for your business

Classes, membership prices and a timetable accessible on a phone

  • Facilities, classes and membership terms that are easy to compare.
  • A timetable readable on a phone, with a defined update source.
  • Separate journeys for discovering the gym and booking as an existing member.

Your website in practice

Present facilities, classes, hours and access conditions

Visitors want to know whether they will feel comfortable and whether your gym fits their schedule. Photos of the actual facilities, complete hours and a clear class presentation help more than a general performance promise. We show the facilities, team and operation without presenting a stock-photo gym as yours.

Practical information is organised around the decision: where the club is, how to get there, when reception is staffed, which activities are included and how to explore the premises. Unstaffed access hours are not confused with team attendance hours. Beginners should also understand whom to approach on their first visit.

The commercial objective is precise: enable a suitable next step. It may be a visit, trial session, pass or membership. We do not create a false free offer to collect contact details. Actual introductory terms remain visible beside the button, with information that prevents a wasted journey.

The quote confirms the scope before commitment. The client registers and renews the domain; initial connection is included. Choose hosting on your own account or hosting managed by Gloria, at an additional cost. E-commerce platform, applications and payment fees are not included.

These starting prices cover standard configurations. The quote specifies the selected functions, data migrations and integrations. There is no automatic surcharge per page: a synchronised schedule, stock management or a private area may require more work than a set of presentation pages.

New visitors: trial session; members: timetable and booking

Prospective and regular members visit for different reasons. The first compares your offer; the second often wants to check a time or book. Sending both to a long contact form slows both journeys. We provide explicit access points, including when an external app already manages bookings.

Navigation can display “Discover the gym” and “Member access” without giving every link equal prominence. Public pages explain the offer before registration. The restricted area remains protected and is not used to hide information needed to compare memberships.

Example: a club with group classes and open gym access

Fictional scenario illustrating design choices. A club offers open-access weight training and group classes by reservation. Its current timetable is an image posted on social media; last-minute changes remain difficult to find. The new website must first establish which source is authoritative.

If the booking software can display a reliable public timetable, the website can link to or embed it after checking. Otherwise, an editable timetable presents hours and explains how to book through the member tool. We avoid two supposedly synchronised calendars when someone actually has to copy them. Coach changes, public holidays and cancellations have an identified owner.

Someone interested in a class discovers its duration, format, equipment and access conditions. They can request an introductory session if the club permits it. Members go directly to booking. If a class is full, the page must not continue promising a place. Any waiting list depends on software operation and forms part of testing, not a decorative mention in the mockup.

Create gym, class, membership and trial session pages

The homepage shows facilities, locates the club and leads towards a first visit. The gym page presents equipment actually available, changing rooms, access and hours. Classes have understandable descriptions: content, duration, intended participants and format. An internal class name is not always meaningful to a beginner; a few sentences and a representative image help.

The membership page brings together prices, inclusions and terms according to your approved offer. The timetable remains easy to find from every activity page. The team page presents instructors and their verified qualifications. A first-visit page explains what to bring, how to enter, where to report and how to give notice if unable to attend.

For several locations, each address can have its own page with genuinely distinct photos, classes, hours and contact details. The location name must follow visitors through to their enquiry. We do not create a page for every surrounding town if you have neither premises nor a specific offer there. Local SEO also relies on information consistent with your business profiles.

Compare memberships: included activities, access and registration

Visitors must be able to compare what they will pay and what they can use. We present included activities, access times, any joining fees and club-defined terms. A temporary promotional price does not replace the subsequent regular price. Any options remain identifiable before enquiry or payment.

The website can begin with an appointment at reception. Online registration is a different scope: membership choice, account, payment, genuinely necessary supporting documents and transfer to your software. Renewal, suspension and membership termination follow rules that must be defined and checked in your terms. We do not present a standard checkout as complete club-management software.

Connecting to an existing system can reduce duplicate entry. However, synchronising memberships, access control, direct debits or booking rights requires technical assessment and specific tests. The quote details these integrations and any subscriptions. Complexity depends on this operation, not simply the number of class pages.

Trial session request: form and appointment confirmation

For a first visit, a name, reply method, selected club and preferred time may suffice. A desired activity helps reception direct the person. We do not add questions about medical conditions, weight or treatments to this sales form. Other steps necessary for participation belong to the appropriate process defined by the club.

If reception must confirm availability, the message describes a trial request. If the tool actually reserves a place, it states the date, time, location and amendment procedure. This distinction prevents someone arriving believing they are enrolled in a full class. Any trial price and conditions remain visible before confirmation.

Forms include server-side validation, limited fields and bot protection. We check mobile error messages and keyboard access. Contact details are not automatically reused for marketing without an appropriate choice. Follow-ups, SMS or CRM connections are options defined with their rules, recipients and costs.

Redesign the website without disrupting existing bookings

Before redesign, we identify visited pages, booking links, member areas and offers still being promoted. Members may have bookmarked an old timetable URL directly. That address must remain functional or lead to its replacement through a clear permanent redirect. Sending them to the homepage is not enough.

Existing content is reviewed with your team: classes still offered, old promotions, departed coaches and changed hours. We retain useful pages and prepare redirects to precise equivalents. A removed activity is not artificially turned into a service still available. Business profiles and social links must lead to the right club.

The timetable and active memberships are treated separately from presentation. If the software stays the same, the website must preserve access. If it changes, transferring accounts, bookings and payments requires an identified workstream; it is not implicitly included in a visual redesign. Backup, switching window and post-publication checks are prepared to limit disruption.

Your website in practice

Test the timetable, memberships and first visit before publishing

We check the website against situations reception encounters: comparing two memberships, finding an evening class, exploring a specific club or changing a trial request. Members must quickly find booking. Class pages and price tables remain readable on a phone without tiny text embedded in an image.

Timetable tests cover a cancellation, an exceptional day and, if integration allows, a full class. We check that public information and the software do not contradict one another. For paid registration, testing includes declined payment, return to the website and confirmation; actual membership management depends on the selected solution.

Handover includes allocation of updates: hours, classes, coaches and prices. Your team must know where to change information and how to check its display. Monitoring can distinguish trial requests, completed visits and memberships where your tools can connect them. It provides a basis for post-launch work without treating increased website traffic as automatic proof of new memberships.

Domain, hosting & maintenance

Who manages the website after handover?

You register and renew the domain name

You register, pay for and renew your domain name directly. Gloria connects it to the website initially as part of launch. The registrar account and renewal reminders remain under your control. Subsequent one-off assistance can be quoted separately.

Hosting and maintenance: options and prices to specify

You can retain compatible hosting or choose hosting managed by Gloria at an additional cost. The quote specifies recurring costs, backups, updates, included interventions and exit terms. Subscriptions to booking tools, platforms or paid extensions are identified before commitment.

Practical questions

Questions about functionality and website creation

Can we keep our booking app?

Yes. Clear access may suffice, or integration can be assessed if the publisher permits it. We check mobile display, timetable updates and the booking journey before promising automatic synchronisation.

Is a PDF timetable sufficient?

It can serve as a downloadable document, but important times benefit from being readable directly on the page. An image or PDF alone is difficult to update and read on a phone. Above all, we define a reliable source and a person responsible for changes.

Can we sell memberships through the website?

Yes, with a scope suited to your club’s rules and software. A membership involving direct debits, suspension and access control goes beyond a simple payment page. We can start with a registration request, then assess the integration.
